1892 Morgans

Why do I like 1892 Morgans so much? I just love the 1892 O. I can't figure out why lol?

Nice coins. Is there something that attracts you to that date in particular? Is it special for some reason?

 

The '92-O was made while my great grandfather worked at the New Orleans mint, that's probably why you like it so much. And be glad that you didn't decide to like 1893, that would have been pricey.

 

It might be because 1892 is the 400th anniversary of Columbus discovering...wait a minute, that's the New World, not New Orleans...oh, never mind.

 

I like the 93, 94 and 95 too lol. Although, I like them more than my bank account does.

 

It just feel it's a nice solid date in the Morgan series.

 

I know the feeling, I collect early proofs.

 

I'm into the Morgans from 1889- 1899. A lot of good coins to be had in those years.

 

That's a monumental set to complete especially if you can't do without the 95. I've been on a long mission to do a Morgan proof set, but for now I only have two.

My MS date set I'm working towards is missing 92,93,94,95 and 96 right now. You know...all the easy ones

 

Yeah especially the dreaded 96 Philly.

The 92 philly is imo undervalued in choice unc, but add PL to the equation and well, you have a real winner there.
Wait NVM meh its ok i guess, stand by 4 a future solicitation on that coin, meh i sorta like it.. whaddya want 4 it, i mean, i guess its ok
