I am new to this bUT I found a quarter that I couldn't tell if it was silver or gold. It's in between but beautiful either way. Can anyone tell me? 20170616_124041.jpg 20170616_124155.jpg 20170616_124041.jpg

That is a regular copper-nickel alloy "clad" quarter with some nice toning. Probably heat-induced.

Not worth anything, of course (well, OK, a quarter) but it is indeed quite attractive for a modern clad quarter from circulation.

It also could be Environmental Damage. Could of been affected by soil, dirt, sand, saltwater. I metal detect and have found several clad coins that look like yours.

I like it. Only worth a quarter but it's pretty.

it could be one of those gold plated quarters that the TV salesmen were peddling that went into circulation. I found a platinum or silver plated one a while back.

It does not appear to be one of the gold-plated quarters. I used to sell those. It's just toned.
