Where can I get some information on Russian and Finish coins. My father gave me a half dozen coins from around 1900. I feel they are vf to ef in grade. I just want grading information, history and value of the coins, where can I go?
A few suggestions: Post pictures here Visit your local library and look them up in the Standard Catalog of World Coins If you are an ANA member, check out their list of available loaner books Input the legends at Google, and search images.
You might want to post in coinpeople.com where that is most of the Russian numismatics chats going on at the moment. Russian coin values and Finland under Russia are very strong at the moment especially if you have some silver ruble coins. There are some rare year types which therefore it is highly suggestive if you can post the photos else it's all going to be guess work.
If that is a conservative VF-EF, then you have struck lucky. If you really mean F-VF, then still pretty lucky.
Please don't take this the wrong way. Not to be nitpicky but Finnish is spelled with two n (s). Finland only has one n. From a Finn.
