@D-Train Perhaps you may have asked in a nicer manner what PMD stands for, there are people in this world that give answers thinking maybe the person might know what an abbreviated word means and not think that they may not. Don't burn bridges because of something simple like this. As far as your coin they are right it took a hit copper is very easy to manipulate so if another coin hit it just right it can shift the copper I have seen many like the coin you have. Good luck hunting.

Don't assume that everything that looks strange may be valuable. There are plenty of minor Mint Errors that have very little or no premium at all.. Don't worry, over time you will begin to understand

In the last few weeks There have been at least 4-6 posts Asking about the same thing as your post. Some have very good explanations as to the likely cause of the POST MINT DAMAGE on you cent. I would suggest you go and look these up. Then you won't have to be worried about being insulted by members looking down their noses at you. It's too bad they don't take a lot of time answering these common questions over and over again. Darn guys and their short answers

Gosh! What a hostile group. I have a similar penny that I believe was created by the actions of the machine that seals the ends of coin rolls.

 

Yeah I'm not THAT new, I've been here a few months. It seems I've stepped in it and gotten too easily annoyed by the use of acronyms that I'm not familiar with. I remember others such as TPG that I had to ask someone to define. There's a lot of terms and abbreviations here that go over my head, such as "retained cud", and it seems like you guys are speaking a foreign language and I get exasperated having to always ask people to tell me what they are talking about. I'll try to be more thick skinned in the future and ask nicely what something means if I'm not familiar with it. I did that on the "retained cud" post and had to ask a few times what it meant before someone benevolently took the time to explain it to me.
Please accept my humblest apologies everyone while I get the hang of this place.

 

No, everyone knows what IMO and LOL and ROFL mean, Not everyone knows what PMD and TPG and such acronyms stand for. I was in the Navy for 6 years & they are the KINGS of acronyms!

 

I can't remember all the ones for coin types. So many it drives me crazy.
