Damn u jumped out of a tree !! I think you are giving the reverse too much weight, then again, im not the one who finds undergraded NGC Morgans every week
I think it's only the second or third time I've ever paid a toning premium for a coin. Luckily wasn't a big premium at all surprisingly which is why I snapped it up. Also was nice to see the Trueview so I could be confident it wasn't just good angles/lighting. Coin looks just as amazing in hand as the pictures.
I like the coin a lot, but honestly I don't see it above MS65. Apparently the reverse has outstanding eye appeal, lovely colors, luster, everything, but the obverse should hold it back from a higher gem grade.
I must be seeing things you guys don't, or maybe it's the other way around. I see a really clean cheek and fields, with the biggest distraction behind her hair and cap near the star. It's in a non-focal area and does not appear to be distracting. The reverse is nearly flawless and has outstanding eye appeal. Perhaps, I've over graded it, but I've seen worse with higher grades. Now to go hunt it down on CoinFacts.
I'm actually seeing what you are seeing. Besides a few minor blemishes, the coin looks virtually flawless. I might be overgrading as well, but I'll go with MS 67 I'd be shocked if this one went under 65/65+
I'm at 66 on this one another pretty coin.....so you're addicted to the early 80's Morgans too.....yeah I know you are.....maybe you should to start looking at some nice golden 38 D buffalo's
Haha yes definitely can't stop with these early S morgans. Once I finish my date set I'll be looking for a new series maybe the Buffalo's will call my name then! Then again I may never finish this date set because I keep finding beautiful 78-82s' that I can't pass on. A little tougher finding early/mid 90s morgans...
Worth the premium in my book. The right color progression to be genuine color and the reverse is light enough to capture the color. Good pick.
Well i must be light on it, as im definitely out-numbered. As my uncle used to say about his ex-wife, who was married 7 times. " 7 guys cant be wrong! "
