EBAY prices are all over the place. (As usual) from $80 - $150 raw, and as much as $250 graded pr70/signed. For those that don't think the mint is charging enough, you have more options.
I can't find any that have actually sold yet. One auction has a bid for higher than issue price, which is stupid.
I had the opportunity to watch Mint staff striking these last April. They put GREAT care into it and reject them for the slightest flaw.
"Here ye. Here ye. Read all about it." The mint, may produce a .9999 fine 1/10 oz. gold coin next year. The design,.....you guessed it, this years (2017) Liberty gold coin. SAVE SOME MONEY UP. "Warning", your reaction may not be suitable for a younger audience. Here's the link from C.W. http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-co...=Email&utm_source=Lyris&utm_campaign=USCoins#
Making fractional gold again is a good idea, doubling down with more offerings of an unpopular design is not
Certainly not like collectors would appreciate fractional gold buffalos again instead for the 10 year anniversary since first and only release. After seeing the news about the 1/10 oz gold using the same design I'm inclined to agree at this point. As there is no reason to use the same design that will already appear on a coin and five medals. Especially since the coin thus far has lack luster sales as is.
I just received an email from MCM. I wonder why buy from the mint when you can get https://www.moderncoinmart.com/2017...l-pcgs-pr69-dcam-first-strike-flag-label.html Ok so it's only a 69 but it's PCGS First Strike. If your into that kind of thing. No I'm not buying.
I don't think the MS-69 slab will be worth ANY premium, let alone 30%. Sure, they're taking a small profit on these to dump them. They're gonna jack you for a 70. Personally, and this is not mean-spirited, but I hope that they get stuck with a vast majority of these coins. Flipping coins involves winners and losers. This medal is a definite loser.
Not necessarily. Maybe it's more convenient for int'l bidders to buy one on eBay than ordering directly from the US mint. I am referring to shipping/customs/etc...
