Well i get lucky a lot here it seems, and there are a lot of very nice, generous, and thoughtful people out there, here on this forum site! Some are so nice to go out of their way to help you find the value in some of the odd ball coins, and there are some that help you out with your collection. Any dime spent towards my collection is like having a mountain of smiles! I really enjoyed opening this, felt like a kid in a coin shop!!! A lot of smiles came from this, and a big laugh at my first reaction when i thought the guy sent me a gold coin... lolol i looked at the edge and was like, No.... no way he didnt... and it fell out on my hand, and i laughed! i also noticed an error on the United states postal service and got 3 bucks worth of stamps that i can reuse.. lol But yeah that was pretty cool! my favorites are the Japanese coin with the hole(not sure the date) then i got the chinese cash coin that i loved, and the nice Austria coin, and the japanese coin with the hole! Man those were really cool! got my first BU coins for wheat pennies, all common dates but still, very very nice to see what an actual BU penny looks in your face.. that red is amazing. I didnt take picture of the 1935 D because i put it in my collection book right away. And the Urraca coin i found today! Just threw that one in there for giggles, but yeah THANK YOU AGAIN FOR TAKING THE TIME!!!! You made my day and i got to show all the friends somethings that were cool. Its crazy to think that this happened, because someone else was so kind as to help me fill in some holes in my wheat penny collection, and i posted a forum about it! and he thought that was cool and wanted to send me something aside from the other guy who sent me something! this is pretty cool stuff!! never even once expected this to happen, and its the coolest thing ever! More pictures in the comments below SOON!
I got these from a guy on here. He sent me something after showing off what someone else sent me. Hey do you collect wheat pennies? World coins? If you collect wheat pennies send me a list of all the ones you DONT have. Might be able to put something together for you.
Tyler. I save wheat cents. My oldest is a 1919s. I fill my grandbabies books roll searching. I have fould them all the modern clad coins. Not much luck with the wheat cents. But!!!! Having some luck with canada small cents. It's been a long road. Cheech. P.S. i like your Wang coin
Off point here... on the "$3 of postage": Even though the PO may not have visually post marked all the stamps, it doesn't mean they're not cxl'd. I think cancellation occurs with a non-visible wavelength dye of some sort these days, so the USPS computers can tell that the postage was mailed, even if you can't see it. The result would be that the recipient would be charged the difference. Just a thought to consider.
Nice looking coins there, good job. It is easy sometimes to forget that a coin need not be super old or rare or expensive to be a cool coin. Some of mine I like because they are big and heavy, or odd or beautiful.
I have about thirty thousand wheats that I bought 40 years ago that I haven't had time to go through yet when I get time to go through them I'll let you know what I have
I bought 6 bags. I think I paid 60 bucks each for them. I got them from a dealer in a little corner somewhere. He had them and a bunch of barbers that I bought real cheap too. I think I bought 5000 of them but don''t have many of them left.
