Has anyone ever seen this before?

At first glance I thought it was coin rot until I looked a little closer and saw "God We" then realized I had a trifecta of Lincoln cents on one coin. I've spent a good amount of time searching for similar coins to see if this is something that is somewhat common but can't find a thing.

Yup, the trifecta. Zinc, copper, and glue.

All I am seeing is a coin that must be examined by a professional.

It was definitely glue but it would have been a pretty sweet looking coin if it weren't

Trust me...It was. Hope you stick around here and develop the same attitude as the OP. He posted a coin. Received the simple answer from long-time "knowledgeable" members and accepted the fact. In other cases, lot's of new folks get on CT, post nonsense, and get ridiculed so much that they never return. :D

You will go a long way to becoming a more informed collector if you try this experiment. Get some "golden yellow" plastic model glue (if they still make the stuff :hilarious::hilarious:) and glue two cents together. Offset them so you can break them apart easily. Have fun & welcome to CT!

And of course, use newer cents (after 1982). They're copper-coated zinc.
