And I should have said learning the distinction between the Rpm and DDD is difficult. there is many more die deteriorated mm than there are RPMs.
If you did look at the Pics @Ordinary Fool. You would have seen that the MM has extra material in the center, there is no need for a better camera. Pic 4 of the original post has DDD written all over it.
"If you looked", now why didn't I think about looking at any of those crappy and near useless pictures? Yeah, it likely is MD or DDD, but, again, this is an assumption based on probability and not evidence which is sufficient for any conclusive opinion. Respectfully, I disagree that no better pix are needed. I also maintain images posted so far do not allow anyone having a decent display and good eyesight to conclude anything. The image I re-posted serves to justify the production of better images and potentially reconsideration. I'm not saying anyone offering an opinion is wrong, but, that they chimed in early based on poor evidence. This seems very common on coin forums all over the net and to the point it leaves many wondering if you experts have CSI type Crappy Pix Enhancing software that nobody else has. Sometimes, the right answer is your pictures really suck and then teach somebody how to optimize what they have to work with, or even, 'I don't know based on what you've presented'. Even a lowly Iphone 4 will produce much better coin images than this. Fact, so it may be a good idea to stop cutting people slack for pictures that simply don't cut it.
If that pic was the only one, I would agree with you but the other four, along with this one should eliminate any backlash to the op, he is trying and that is all that matters, in due time. Hope fully he gets his lighting situated better.
That picture proves his camera is more capable than he, with a long way to go for improvement easily concluded just based upon comparing to the other rubbish photos produced and published....and also that much better is needed for any meaningful determination can to be made not based in probability and statistics, for starters. I don't blame OP, too many fall for the same type of poor images often..... and it presents to an objective observer that simply shooting down all comers or having to supply a definitive answer is a priority over and above common sense and reason. Teach the OP and others to take useful pix and quit cutting people slack for failure to do so.
