Hi everyone, I just held my skink of 13 1/2 yrs, Napoleon, as he took his final breaths. It was hard to see him struggle, but I'm glad he's not suffering anymore. Here he is: Feel free to post any coins with reptiles or any kind of animal and pictures of your own pets. Thanks, Erin
Sorry Erin. Losing a pet sucks it's like a family member. I can't think of a lizard coin in my collection, but I believe Sallent does.
So sorry to hear of your loss Erin. You had him a very long time, it is like losing one of the family.
oh no! sorry to hear about napoleon! he was a cool looking little guy, pretty colors. when i was in grad school i did some work with western fence lizards, i couldn't find any of my pics of them (if i have them they're on a 3.5 inch disc no way to use it!). they look like this (web pics)... and have pretty blue patches also.
I'm sorry for your loss , I lost many dogs in the past, every time its a sad thing. Here's Lola , Jack Russell numero 4 in line, just finished the CNG auction catalog.
I'm sorry. We lost four cats last year (three as a result of Hurricane Matthew), so I can sympathize. I had no idea those small reptiles lived that long. We have wild skinks here in coastal Georgia- big red and blue ones. They're not a common sight like the green anole lizards that are everywhere, but I've seen them on Jekyll Island. They're really quite startling at first- one's instinctive "snake!" alarms are instantly triggered by the sight of one darting through the grass.
I'm sorry for the loss of your adorable little creature. I hope you'll feel better. Unfortunately, I had to adopt my iguana out some years ago to the local exotic animal center. I often think of Giancarlo a/k/a Juancho. He was very sweet. I'm sorry I could not keep him longer. I got him as a gift soon after his birth and had him about 3 years. He got big and was so alpha male! He ate squash, collard and mustard greens, snow peas, string beans - stuff like that. I tried to give him lettuce once and he side-looked up at me like I had lost my mind. He thought I was his wife. Bobbed his head at me an awful lot. Adorable. I just now remember all that head bobbing! Not the best photograph of him, but handsome, no?
Sorry for your loss. Always crushed when I had to say goodbye to my canine family members. Too many of them over the years after adopting many homeless "adults". Pets are family and we do grieve.
I too, am sorry for your loss. I am struggling with my Quaker Parrot right now at 20 years old. She's been having some pretty bad days and then perks up and then struggles again. The other night she lost her balance and fell on her back. It's very hard.
sorry for your loss. i just have lost kittybuddy, Saturday before last and now have a sick kitten who adopted me, who was on the ashpile of his pyre of that day. it is sad. i hope to nurse him back, but really there's little one can do other than make comfortable and offer petting with water(i put in antibiotics) and food.
Sorry Erin. It is always hard to lose a family member. I would post my lizards and croc coins, but do not have access to my files.
