My local park just recently hosted a flea market. I found some nice coins. - 1971 AU Ike dollar D - Bicentenial Ike AU - 1959 Rosevelt -1910 Barber Dime - State Quarter Dansco - 16 1939 nickles - 5 1938 nickels - 2 destroyed V nickels with readable dates - 41Buffalo nickels, worn but some dates readable All for 18 dollars.
I think he got a good deal if that is a Dansco album. That Dansco album (used, I assume) is $10 or more. That leaves $8 for $5 worth of coins including 2 silver dimes. What is wrong with that?
You did good for just $18.00 Things are not cheap anymore at flea markets. At least the ones I have been to seem to lack low pricing. You got to pay pretty good money these days.
Works for me. If you have any buffalo nickels with no dates, I suggest Nic-a-date. I got a bottle and it brings the date out nicely. In fact when I hit the coin show on 7/16, I'm going to hit the bargain bins and see if I can pick up a bunch for the fun of it.
Cool, I have about 20 or 30 buffalo nickels sitting at home with no dates. Im gunna have to go get that Nic-a-date stuff you are talking about. Could I pick this up at any coin shop or should i shop for it online? Thanks.
If you want to save paying postage, use your coin store. I paid $4.00 for a bottle. Ebay has it too but you pay shipping. Go to Vernon Coins on eBay, they have it.
