I don't know if things will go my way today.
We are running a yard sale in town. I want to get replacement rolls at a different bank in a different town.
If it doesn't work out there's always Monday.

    Lucky find,con
Coins that are unc doesn't necessarily mean that they can't be circulated. As long as the coin maintain it's like perfect condition. There are seven levels if grading that determines the condition of a uncirculated coin. You have : perfect unc, gem unc, choice unc, unc, choice about unc and about unc. See. Each coin is considered unc ,but, they are not all perfect

I think that collecting pocket change is a wonderful idea. I have at least twelve stores that holds change for me to me buy. I have landed several good finds. I have a 1960 DoverD small date over large date . 1943 boldly doubled mintmark, 1944 D over S, and I've even found a few that's not mentioned in the red book. Like this 2003 State Quarter , it's a Missouri mintmark D small hub over lg. DD -ovb and rev. major doubling.

Clifford Mishler the author of Coins: Questions and Answers said that there is some significance to the bundle of sticks on the reverse side of the winged liberty head dime. He says that the bundle of sticks is a fasces enfolding a battle-axe it's enterwined by an olive branch to symbolize unity.

It is a machine wrapped roll. It is wrapped by the fed.

$60 in CWR halves I picked up from 1 bank tonight were hand-labeled bicentennial and it was accurate. Only 1 coin was BU, so only 1 keeper for me. Better than 0!

It depends on the coin really. If they're BU they probably just arrived in bags at the coin terminal from the mint and were dumped, counted and spun into the roll. If they're circulated coins they probably came from a bank to the coin terminal, were counted and spun into a roll. The fed doesn't deal much with the distribution of coinage, it lets coin terminals handle that for them now. That's why most of the wraps on coins have the terminal company's name, i.e. Loomis, NFString, etc.

Thank you for the info. I'll file it away for later. NOW, refox , you're right your money is costing you money. You lost big time. BUT, you probably had fun, that's what really matters. heck reading all this coin talk made me go out to pick up 30$in dimes. I found a few 65's, but mostly 90's and 2000's. I haven't looked them over yet but when I do I'll let you know.

Thank you so much that was a lot of info for someone that doesn't understand the terminology. Question, how do I get coins from the bank going to the terminal? There is so much to learn! Are there books on the abbre. that you use that I can purchase? Again I thank you.
