Hey guys, came across this in a lot today. My research has come up with possibly cornelia supera but that seems extremely rare and unlikely, what do you think? weight is 1.63g diameter 19mm
Salonina. Note corn in mine. Salonina (254 - 268 A.D.) AR Antoninianus O: CORN SALONINA AVG, Draped bust right, wearing stephane, set on crescent. R: VESTA, Vesta standing left, holding patera and scepter. 3.4g 23mm RIC V 39A ; RSC 137
Ah that makes sense, thanks guys, I suspect supera would have been minted of good silver and not so much for salonina
Not really truth. I've seen some decent AR of Salonina. This one of mine is no beauty but I wouldn't say it's bad silver in comparison. I have some decent Alexandrian tets AE that I've not had the time to attempt photos of.
