I don't see much here about California coins but I am very interested in them. I did not have my camera but I came across one at my local coin shop that had a pcgs lable that said it was part of the Farouk collection. I know about his St. Gauden coin but I don't know much about the Farouk California coins so I was hoping to get more info

Run, don't walk. If it is too good to be true, it surely is.

Perhaps you should ask your good personal friend (or is he your employer now?) Q. David Bowers...?

What makes it seem too good to be true? We don't even know the price.

I decided not to work for him because I want to get my pilots license because it will help me travel to look at coin collections to buy for my gallery. My uncle has his own King Air and I already have about 20 hours of time. That is the best use of my time but he is a really nice guy

I don't know much about California but I live in South Carolina so Bechtler coins have always been interesting to me but they are rare and hard to find and often have problems so I don't buy them but when I was in high school I flew Cessnas and wanted to be a pilot but that didn't pay well so I went to be a rocket scientist instead and I got really good scores on my math test but my english scores were always better so i was really confused but I studied coins and wrote a book and now I have enough coins to have my own gallery as well but I don't have a good place to display them so I don't.

Oh, and I went to Egypt in high school and we took a bus and went past Farouk's palace and I thought it was cool and I wanted to own his coins but not his crap stuff his really good stuff but i don't have the money for that so i don't and instead i buy the stuff that i like and i got some pittman coins and pittman went to the farouk sale and i think that my pittman coins may have come from the farouk sales because pittman was there and the coins are from africa.

I like to think of what Jason and I are doing as "stealing the bait".

I bought all the Farouk California coins. The coin you are looking at must be a fake but go ahead and buy it. It would match your collection. Mr. Bowers told me to say thank you anyway. He was really sorry you did not join his company. Folks like you are hard to find.;)

I've got an excellent use for your time. Try to jump the Grand Canyon on a motorcycle.

Since I went to graduate school in Georgia, I would love to get a D mint gold coin.

Not so lil Timmy was, at least, entertaining at times, and mostly because he genuinely seemed to (sometimes) believe his own nonsense. This one, however, is more akin to an early cheeseball Josh had he taken a giant leap off the ridiculous cliff.

That said, I wonder what happened to being a "junior grader"? Perhaps it's just that someone discovered there's more to it than conveniently giving an "opinion" only after grades are already known.

It was referring back to a couple of laughable boasts the OP made in previous threads.
