alright so today I went out in search of half dollars. Didn't find much. But I did find a 1977 s cameo proof Kennedy half dollar finger prints all over it (cleaned it because it's worth 50 cents with the scratches but I'm gonna keep it cause I don't have any proof coinage) And an alright condition 1976 P Eisenhower dollar coin with type 2 reverse. Guy had the most half dollars I've seen in a register. Every time I go there I get something unusual.
lol who said I smoked? I'm trying to show ppl that you can find cool things at the smoke shop especially near the end of the month. People will use their collection to buy smokes sometimes, due to their addiction. Not only that but some head shops/alcohol stores you should pay attention to as well. Technically they are still smoke shops but they do have different products.
That's only because my package to you hasn't quite shipped off yet. Nice finds. I'd say the proof Kennedy, even slightly impaired, ought to be worth a teeny bit more than face value. Agree that it's a "keeper".
Well that's nice to know it's worth a little bit more. I know I can sell those Eisenhower for at least 4 bucks. I got 4 of them in one month so far. I sold one for 6 bucks a while back Haha I can't wait to see what's coming. I'm excited I'll take good care of them
I'm not picky. Pennies get me excited haha. Any addition to my collection is a good day for me. Kinda like this here pirate monkey
Whoa! How could you possibly have known I was gonna send you a monkey in a pirate costume? Wow. Now I'm gonna have to send something different, so it'll still be a surprise. OK, so change of plans... no pirate monkey. Good. It'll probably be easier to ship, now. Won't need to put airholes in the box and all that...
Haha there you go!! I'll have a monkey sidekick for my journey to find the lost sunkin treasure. He can guard my boat while I'm diving looking for the treasure cause you know, this kinda stuff might happen........
To someone else it might be worth a little more. The lady I sold it to said she hasn't seen one since she was a kid and really wanted it. Told her everything bout the coin too. Condition, date(1972 type (3)
Also there were 2 other guys who were gonna buy it if she didn't. One didn't speak English but thanks to google translate it helped me out.
I also think since the melt value is around 5 bucks, maybe people are getting these in hopes that one day the government wants the copper instead of the dollar? If all else fails, coin tracker gives a conservative estimate for an average condition of a 1972 to around 2 dollars. Still profitable to me haha.
I'm not saying the Kennedy isn't what it is but there's something strange about the "9" in the date. And, should he be wearing an earring?
What? An Ike dollar has a melt value of 13.42204 cents. Who told you five bucks; get me his number please.
I never caught that. I'll take a closer look when I get home. Looks like the 7 is a little weird too. But I doubt it's anything
