1855 Large Cent variety question

    I think that '48 has the beginnings of a hole.

    I know, right. But who starts boring a hole in a coin to make a necklace or whatever, then decides to call it off? People are strange. Anyway, how about a grade assessment on the nearly reamed '48?

    I'm thinking VF details, due to the aforementioned hole and the rim marks.
