There was a better in roll 3. So that one is off the list.
More D when P needed and roll 4 gave nothing.
One of the nickel rolls was all earlier than 70.!

    Only 2 peskie Canadians.

This is about average so far this year after going through about $1200 worth of nickels.

So far no good. Looked at a lot of what I had looking to update.
Found exactly one out of three rolls.

Nice finds! I've yet to pull a buffalo from circ. The 64 was heavily minted (over a billion from each mint) like the 99 and 00 so that's why they are usually abundant. That's more than my average tho. Do you save 09s?

The first dime roll gave only a better but not perfect 1995P.
10 dimes into roll 2 ain't looking much better.

Welp I went through my first box of halves tonight. A little bummed I didn't find anything, but, being realistic, I do see how many boxes the dedicated go through to strike silver. Im just hoping Loomis doesn't REALLY take the good stuff out. I will chalk this up as practice and talk to the manager tomorrow about how many he can keep on an order rotation for me.

Strangely, I found a 1998 1-cent Bahamian coin with a starfish today in a roll of pennies.

Yep. You'll find lots of odd stuff going through mass quantity (just saw your thread on your first box. Congrats and HH!). I had a Bahamian Dime in a roll yesterday. My son enjoyed the. new addition to his collection.

Only found 4 buffalos so far - 2-1936, 1-1934 and 1 no date. Only found 7 silver war nickels so far. (You won't get rich searching for silver war nickels)
Yes, I am keeping the 09s. Only found 8 of them so far: 2-Ps,6-Ds.
I haven't dumped any date older than 1990 so far. I *proudly* :) own 1,144 of the 1964s! 19 rolls just of the 1964Ds! Total of 1938-1956 dated nickels found is at 339.

Searched another $40 from a different CU than yesterday's 3 locations. Found a nice 1954D and my second 2009P (see scans). Others: 2-1940,2-1941,1946,1948,1949,1949d,1953d,1954pds,1955, and 1956. Better than average hall! I scored 34 of the 1964s (way more than average).
Guess it's time to make a dump. Or 2. Or 3 actually. I dump $140 each time. The tellers can handle this amount in my container.

I've now searched over $1,200 in nickels this year and have never had a roll as old as this! Do you still have it? What were the 40 dates? Curiosity killed the cat... but not me... as of yet anyway.

Way back in the late 1960s and early 1970s I searched rolls like you are. Cheated the bank out of several dollars in shorted rolls, including quarters. But... I was young and the bank got taken care of by a relative who was an account holder. So no harm done to any customers. I remember buying Hershey chocolate bars for a nickel back them... so a nickel represented big $$$ to me. Now, you can't even buy a Hershey bar for a dollar coin unless you get them on sale at a grocery store.

You are going to regret dumping your older coins (in decent clean undamaged condition, of course) to keep those newer than 1975 coins which aren't in nice Almost Uncirculated condition. I know I regret dumping most of my collection back in 1983 to go to college.

Sadly if it's not a date I need or an upgrade to what I had it goes back in a roll for somebody else.
I have two faded wrapper dime rolls to go through yet.
But we got stuff to do today.

Always good to find a buffalo!
The bad news is that I know a large big city coin dealer who has a 25 cent dateless buffalo box, a 50 cent dateless buffalo box and a 1 dollar common date buffalo box. These are the coins we are finding. [Usually.] I think he offers to buy the 25 cent-ers for 7 cents. And he does give some away to young collectors. I broke down this year and bought about 30 of his cheap buffalos just to have some again. I sold my buffalo collection back in about 1982.
