I find this kinda hard to believe that this is a damaged coin. Don't see any damage, Might be wrong, but look at the hair line and forehead, looks like his head kinda sinking in, and his hair looks flipped/slicked to the side
Man. I tell you what. One person says it's a good coin. One person says it's a spender. But no one answers the question lol...
It's a fun coin maybe a strike through. I personally wouldn't spend it. The coin is definitely worth a good laugh. Unfortunately that's about all it's it's worth.
I'm looking online now, and I think it's called a die clash. But ya I'm not spending it cause I am trying to put together a collection of all different kinds of errors so I could teach people trying to learn.
I can tell you with 100% certainty it's not a die clash. Clashes show up in the fields in relief. Lincolns hair is the lowest spot on the die. Strike through or damage are the only possibilities. IMHO
Okay I will honor your opinion thank you very much for your advice. you too Chris if you still watching
Ya know, Tyler, if you saved every coin you thought was an error, you'd have a pretty big collection. Chris
that's why you guys are a big help. And I appreciate everything you guys help me with. If I do find something big you guys would be the reason I find it/or don't send it back to the bank. If I could pay you guys back for all your help, I would. Or at least send ya something nice for not letting me send it back. But I must tell you, it isn't exactly the easiest hobby to learn lol
And NO! Wow.. I think it is just an Over-Polished Die. Here is a website with some definitions - Scroll down to Over-Polished Die http://coinauctionshelp.com/Coin_Help_Blog/us-mint-error-coins/
Sorry I heard every version of what it's not and would just like to hear what exactly it is. Thank you
