it looks like a curved clip. A clearer close up full photo of both obv. and reverse would be helpful.
That's a neat error (clip), but probably won't add tremendous value. Certainly worth keeping, though!
Nice find. The thing is noone can say for sure how many of these where made. So I can't say how rare it is to have one.So it is only worth what someone will give you for it. And some people really like them. It is a Keeper. It would be nice if you would post a photo of both sides, Cropped,and full size image so someone could check for "Blakesley Effect"
Did that one post? I thought I had a pick of both sides. We also found a 1943 steel penny which I thought was neat too.
I could not see any Blacksley effect on your coin, most likely due to thumbnail size. But it still looks like a mint error clipped planchet. Does your 1943 have a clip in it?
