The link to it is in the OP's post. It's not a secret. You can even read it as a non-member, for free, which seems important to you, on the ANA's website.
The new book starting the thread. Is this a book for us novice coin collectors. Or way over are heads
Yup, as everyone else should be. If they were, then grading standards would go back to what they should be. But what has that got to do with needing to be a member of the ANA in order to be considered a numismatist ?
Intentionally not exposing oneself to the insightful material in The Numismatist immediately raises my eyebrows, if I'm being brutally honest. It is the ONLY publication in which I read every non-advertisement word every month. Plus it is the only national organization dedicated to numismatic education. But hey, you just stick to moderating your little discussion board here, if that's what blows your skirt up.
Kurt at one time I was a member of the ANA. I stopped being a member when their internal politics became what ruled the organization instead of the sound policies they used to run it on.
Too bad you missed that that particular era is long past, Mr. Discussion Board Moderator. Organizational peace has reigned for years now.
It's amazing what you'll miss when you stop looking. "You can observe a lot just by watching." - Yogi Berra. The ANA's in-house lawyer is getting bored, even.
