1941 Denmark another tub find

    Must be an error coin, it's upside down!!! :) No, seriously folks, the cracks are usually meaningless for non-pristine foreign coins, but sometimes worth something for collectors of error coins.

    Metallurgical issues with the coin would not be too uncommon given that it was minted when Denmark was occupied by the fascists.

    The "cracks" look like laminations, so it's an error coin. I don't believe the lamination hurts the value, but like minor US lamination errors, it really doesn't add anything significant. Overall, a cool error coin

    The laminations are very common on Danish coins of this type. I can't say that they hurt the value, but not having them certainly does increase it :)

    Fun find. I've got a very similar one that was plucked from a bulk lot as well.
