1) Chain Cent 2)1795, 96 or 97 Eagle 3) 1836 Starry Reverse Gobrecht dollar 4) High relief Saint 5) 1916 Standing Liberty quarter in MS65 or better Or I could buy a house.... Mike
If you are going to dream, dream big 1. 1933 $20 St. Gaudens 2. 1804 silver dollar 3. 1792 half disme 4. 1913 V nickel 5. 1894-S dime Or I could buy a 747
LOL That IS dreaming big. I almost put the half disme on the list. The others don't appeal to me, regardless of rarity or price. The coins that I listed are the ones that I find the most beautiful or historical. I don't even like gold coins, but the two listed are among the most beautiful coins ever made, IMHO. Now if the lowly 1933 St. Gaudins is a high relief, then maybe I'll get a second job and start saving up. Mike
1916-D Merc, Gem w/full bands 1918/17 Standing Lib High Relief Saint Gem 65-red 1914-D Lincoln Proof 65 Morgan
1. 1933 $20 St. Gaudens 2. 1804 silver dollar 3. 1792 half disme 4. 1913 V nickel 5. 1964 peace dollar
I could trade nearly any single one of them for the Lincolns, Mercuries AND Buffaloes that I really want. After that, I would try again with the result of another coin.
These are direct from my current want list: Mint states on all and in order of desirability to me: 1) 1917 type 1 SLQ 2) Shield nickel - any date 3) $10 Indian gold 4)Trade dollar - any date 5)Barber half or quarter - any date Some of these may seem easy to attain, but I've been picky as of late. A few '17 SLQ's have went over the auction block in the last 6 months or so and it seems I can find something that I don't like about the coin.
1) 1922 high relief 1$ proof. 2) 1907 wire rim eagle 3) 1907 high relief dbl eagle 4) 1794 dollar 5) 1849 $10 or $20 mormon gold with nice strike, or 1916 standing liberty if it has to be actual us coinage. mint state if possible, but the most luster and best strike avalible. easy eh?
