50 1944-S MS70 Lincolns.....it's up to a whopping 5.50....but with 7 days to go...no telling how high this could get.

People really need to start actually looking into the crap they buy on ebay.

    Good find Jasn,

    You bidding?

It is TRULY amazing that Abon could come across the one and only original roll (I'm assuming here) that contained 50 perfect coins. How do they do it!?!

Oh that's right they own SGS as well and overgrade as company policy seems to be.

I'd email them but they don't really like me. Don't know why - I just asked them about the lost part of the Binion hoard when I saw all the MS67 and higher Morgans coming out.

Remember the old Zenith TV commercials "The quality goes in before the name goes on"

Perhaps SGS should take that approach.

"No quality needed before the MS70 goes on"

    PATHETIC!

    I have a question. Having never had the "privilege" of owning or even seeing a SGS graded coin, how do they compare to the other lousy TPG's like NNC, ANI, or PCG? My experience are;

    NNC (5 coins) - 67 = my 64, 67 = my 63, 45 = my 20, etc.
    PCG (2 coins) - both 70 = my 64
    ANI (1 coin) - 67 = my 63

Based on all of the lower tier grading companies coins that I have seen there is no set rule - they are all over the board. Sometimes they might be off by 1 grade and sometimes they might be off by 6 grades. It all depends on the company, the coin and whether or not the moon was up that night I guess.

Either way, don't trust the grades of any TPG. Learn how to grade yourself. And until you do, then trust only the better TPG's - 90% of the time anyway.

I think NNC is always a grade high, at least on the circ Lincolns I have, all bought from Ebay with no consideration on what the plastic said.

I have 5 Morgan auctions starting tonight at 5:45, all slabbed PCGS or NGC, 99cents no reserve's in which I spank SGS, lets see if I get me a whoopin from Ebay. At this point, I really don't care.

I think the lot'll go for about $50.

I just asked him how he has more MS-70's in 1 roll than the entire combined population reports of PCGS and NGC. Then I congradulated him on finding such a great source for Gem coins. Very Impressive indeed !!:kewl:

You know Jack they will NOT like you for that question.
On the other hand I LOVE IT! Fits nicely with the Binion hoard.

    You bidding before they block?

No I'm not bidding, but I was smart enough not to ask from my seller account, lol.

Anyone else ever notice how GORGEOUS walking liberty halves are even when rubbed down to nothing?
