    Bummer man. Chrystalized.
I have a couple Domitianus and Caracalla that are chrystalized. They need care not to drop them so they don't break

Well an optimist would think wow now I have 2 half coins. Sort of like if you break a Crumb in half.... do you have two crumbs or two half crumbs?

I would like to see the sellers images. Could it be possible it was broken already and sold as a whole? It's a shame either way, but if the seller sold you a bill of goods.......

@gregarious I just took a better look at your photo. Been on my want/search list for some time. Sad to see it broke in two.

If it makes you feel any better here's one of my broken coins that I can't find the other piece of.

well, on closer inspection on the sellers pics, that crack goes all the way thru and.. i sent him a message telling him what happened, let's see what he does now. if he doesn't take it back he lost a repeat customer.

I agree with Bing - it would be nice to see the 'before' picture.

it had a large crack in the pics.. i saw that, but now that it's in two pieces, i see the crack ending on one place that has missing metal and the crack going to the other end disappearing at the edge.. i don't think the seller fixed it, but i do believe it has been fixed b4, i can't be 100% sure, i just accepted it had a crack in it. the only reason i bought it was because it looked like Domitian..

Well, I knew the crack ran deep and chrystal. I paid only a small fraction I assume you paid for yours. I wanted a pegasus and bought this before I had the Carthage (my avatar).

Curious is that the Dracian reverse on your coin?

Ancient silver can be very brittle! I’m feeling your pain, gregarious! :( Another CoinTalk forum member, @John Anthony, suggested Super Glue. Actually that’s a great idea! You can buy a bottle of Crazy Glue with the small brush. A small amount along the edge will be very strong and will bond the pieces together long enough for you to put it into an Airtite capsule.

I had a cheap Constantine break on me. It was a sad day in my house. He still lives here though. I guess crazy glue is not a bad idea. Can't be any worse than a coin broken in half.

thanks fellas, since i don't sell these anyway, good idea! it will be my 1st "superglued" coin. i waiting for the sellers response, seems that if it were that fragile, it would have already broke.. the two pieces don't fit together perfectly, but we'll make du:)
