If that is the Commodus tet it deserves to be seen, but I can't see the pic you posted.

Hmm, it is visible on my computer.

From time to time I come across old CoinTalk pages in which some of the images aren't displayed (a broken picture icon is in its place). Is that what you're seeing?

I don't think that problem was solved.

That is an unbeatable story. I don't want Q's coin (it should stay with him forever!) but I wish one of my own coins to have such an awesome story :)

I like this thread idea but it also makes me feel pressured and bad because I don't want to leave anyone out and I won't have time to dig through old posts until later in the week :(.

There are so many coins shown here that I admire and want!

Ancient Aussie => can you see the Commodus Tet now? (how did you know it was the Commodus tet if you couldn't see it?)

Yes that's what it is, small broken picture with IMG beside it.

No still can't see it, but I remember Doug posting it once before, only lighthouse coin I have seen of his. Having said that this hasn't happened before, never had trouble viewing before.

This is more of a workaround than a true fix, but I can see the picture so I saved it to my computer and will upload it here for you. Let me know if you can see it.

    @Bing , @Deacon Ray , and everyone...
I am not viewing it that way.

Rather, I am randomly finding past coin posts that I admire. Not as a covet, nor that I have to have, rather appreciating the coin for its beauty, historical placement, story, or just plain cool. So no guilt in my thoughts, just the joy of appreciating them. :)

There are so many wonderful coins being shown every day by CT members that I couldn't pick just one or even ten without regretting imediately for having not chosen another (ten other) one(s).

Anyway, I'll just post one, from @stevex6' because he seemed so upset a certain day and the coin is undoubtedly a stunner

    Great thread and fabulous posts!!!

I wish I had PC access and not forced to use this unsupported Vista Lap-top....since even typing is nearly impossible.

All of you have wonderful coins that I have been after the past two years and I LOVE seeing them posted again!!!

Sorry I did not get here in time to help but am glad TIF reposted the thing. I have no idea what the problem is. The popularity of that coin mystifies me. It is a very common type. A couple nicer ones have sold this year since I got that one in my January bulk lot which contained what I considered more interesting coins. I guess that is part of the hobby. Anyone who wants one can have it. Just bid ten times what it is worth. My favorite coins of my collection that have been posted on CT so many times that I am embarrassed to admit it have not made the cut for this thread. It works the same for everyone. I am hurt that this thread went so far without Ancient Joe's long suffering aureus. After all this poor coin had to ride out the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius but we just ignore it. Terrible. I apologize.

I have trouble deciding which coins I like best. The group below will do for a start.
