Yah, this might be a fail ... but I don't have any new coins, so I thought that I'd try to keep something goin' on I recently peeked-through Z-Bro's threads and found a bunch of awesome coins ... Meh, it's just an idea

This could become a very long thread Of your coins, Steve, the Kisthene Pigasus is one I want: Doug has several Roman Egyptian coins that make me a little green. Zumbly has many envy-inducing coins. All of AJ's coins, of course. I'll add more tomorrow but I can't stay awake right now.
Funny => no Roman lovers "yet" => the Greeks have way more fun, eh? awww, crap ... I posted Gandalf's Roman (ummm, but it's an AE RR => that's almost a Greek, eh?) => this place is fun
A gorgeous coin! Just an awesome example! @zumbly's CALABRIA, Tarentum AR Didrachm, CALABRIA, Tarentum, circa 290-281 BC. Fischer-Bossert Group 80, 1131 (V417/R873); Vlasto 587; HN Italy 934. TIFs Antigonos III Doson tet is always a favourite to look at Steve I love the double struck Constans Also Dougs Byzantine overstruck on a Gordian III is awesome. I know someone here has a Seleukos I tet with elephant quadriga (@zumbly maybe?) which is another great one. I'll think of more here tonight.
Is it fair to say every coin in the @Alegandron collection? This could become a long thread. I'll start with this stunner of a Daric from Brian's collection. PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. temp.Darios I to Xerxes II. Circa 485-420 BC. AV Daric (14mm, 8.30 g). Lydo-Milesian standard. Sardes mint. Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear in right hand, bow in left / Incuse punch. Carradice Type IIIb, Group A/B (pl. XIII, 27); Meadows, Administration 321; BMC Arabia pl. XXIV, 26. VF. Well centered and struck.
@TIF 's 15 Shekels cost me a bunch of money! She inspired me to get one of these RARE Carthage coins, minted after Hannibal was defeated. He had to go back to Carthage to pay off the HUGE Roman Indemnity... so he bought the REESES Company, and made Peanut Butter Cups to pay off the mortgage... ...Yeah, TIF, "it is a TRUE STORY!" ZEUGITANA, Carthage early 2nd century BCE AE 15-shekels, 45 mm, 95 gm Obv: wreathed head of Tanit left Rev: horse standing right, left foreleg up; solar disk with uraei above Ref: Alexandropoulos J (2000) Les monnaies de l'Afrique Antique, 103; Müller L (1861) Numismatique de L'Ancienne Afrique, 131; Luynes 3782; Jenkins GK and Lewis RB (1963) Carthaginian Gold and Electrum Coins, Royal Numismatic Society, London, pl. 28 12
@dougsmit has soooo many coins I love. On any given day, this fossil-in-matrix Aegina turtle makes the Top 3... @Alegandron has an outstanding rare Marsic confederation denarius that would be a prize in my collection.
I was thinking of this Seleukid tet from @Alegandron And basically all of @Jwt708 's Seleukids particularly this Demetrios I tet
I might be the only one that likes this one, but these astrological type depicting Venus in Taurus, AE Drachma's are very hard to find in this good a condition. Congrats on a great coin stevex6.
Here's one of my favorite coins in the collection of any CoinTalk member: a very unassuming silver quinarius minted in Luceria in the @Alegandron collection. This type is one of the rarest quinarii out there and as part of the interesting and honestly confusing emission from Luceria, an extremely interesting coin.
So many to choose from... but how about if I just choose @IdesOfMarch01 's Julius Caesar lifetime portrait denarius:
