I seen it done on purpose at times just to get you to have a look see...then have someone place a small bid on it so they can't make any adjustments to the listing. I do believe you can post a small note but by then the damage is done as you're already fished in.
I don't catch this sort of mistake often, but I frequently see something I'd swear is deliberate, and deceptive . . . I'm referring to sellers who list non-returnable BUY IT NOW coins with the wrong date or denomination, hoping the buyer will not notice. Some examples are: 1846 dimes in the half dime category, AG 1853 quarters listed as 1852 because the top of the 3 looks like a 2 (and sellers evidently don't think the rays on the reverse will give the coin away - don't believe me? - three are two listed right now). '73 Arrows coins as No Arrows coins I've pointed these out numerous times, yet the same sellers, after playing dumb and removing the listing, continue to list the same coins the same way over and over again later on. If the buyer is not careful, the seller gets away with the deception.
I would imagine that a lot of sellers don't proofread their listing before posting it. We get the same thing here when people are posting their comments. So, what is the big deal? Chris
I'm with you. Getting ready to March on this fool, just need to gear up first. Pitchfork, check. Torch, check. Noose, check. Hot tar, and feathers, check. OK, ready. Let's go.
I'm trying to be positive so the rest of my day will go decently. I;m just thinking he types with his thumbs.
I believe it was 4. Some people do have disabilities that cause them to make the same mistake over and over. I tend to give people the doubt.
Only the SELLER can post a note. The rest of us can "Ask seller a question" but the seller has the option to post it or not. Obviously, sellers with misleading and/or deceptive listings have no desire to accommodate anyone seeking clarification. I always ask the seller when I see an ambiguous or misleading listing, as the seller's response - or lack thereof - can be very informative (in a good way or a bad way).
