When comparing these two coins of the same date, I noticed one coin date is so much thicker than the other. I tried to find info on it but didn't find anything. Why are they so different ? Penny
Could be because there's a Large Date and a Small date .. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=1974&die_mint=d&die_type=do&page=0
Cool find, tricky. Well I like to view and dig into to coins that are shared on here. Seriously neat find. Checked into this one, couldn't pin point if this is known. But had fun learning a new coin. http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1974DDDO002.htm Pocket_change
@Pickin and Grinin @Pocket-change. Thanks for the info. Is this a valuable coin ? Or just a neat find? Die-deterioration doubling is a new area to me. Thanks for looking Penny
It a fun process for learning for sure! The more you know the better I have learned a ton in the last couple months here. And I am sure you will as well. Good hunting Penny. I'll be sure to check your threads. Happy hunting. Pocket_change
