I'll keep on with this thread though my mother is being in hospital for 3 weeks from now. I'm not sure she's going to make it. I always hope.
I chose Aelia Flaccilla along with the 2 brothers Arcadius and Honorius who ruled the Eastern and western parts of the divided Roman Empire. In this space I need a coin of Elagabalus (easy) with reverse of Mars (son of Juno) which I do not have. They exist. Show yours. As a space filler, here is Victory.

7-Charles => very sorry to hear that your Mum is ill (that is a very tough time ... been there and it is a very helpless feeling)

I hope that she has a healthy comeback

You, your mother and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Here's Faustina Senior that I won in a contest from Aethelred.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

I've been in this situation 7C, I wish you and your family the best. This coin belonged to my mother, I usually put it in my pocket when I got to events that she would have attended.

Thank you creating a great thread, Roman Collector!

I'm posting a coin that portrays a tragic situation. A Jewish woman in mourning. She could be mourning the death of her son. The image could just as likely be a Roman mother in mourning.

Great coins, Gregarious! Somebody must have had hostile feelings toward Faustina the Elder, to deface the coin like that! Are those slashes ancient?
