What is this? A nickel in a bag of pennies. It's mostly copper colored.

Was the bag short 5 pennies?

Yep, Chris, that was it, you're a genious. You are the only person I've met in the last two? weeks on this site that was not helpful. I know you're a troll. I don't know why. Maybe you're twelve? That's the second time you've crossed me for no reason. I reported you this time. I'll continue to report you, until you are gone. Everybody else has bent over backwards to help, you do a disservice to this site.

So you not only report him over an OBVIOUS lighthearted joke, but also use the opportunity directly attack and insult all while calling him the troll?

This place never ceases to amaze...

Humor. There is a lot of that here. Have fun with it.

    Wow

Tom... no he is not a troll. He is a regular here on CoinTalk. I have known him for a very long time. No need for what you did.

Your Nickel is just Environmental Damage. Not a Mint Error

A true Nickel struck on Cent Planchet would be smaller and weigh less.

You can report him all you like but most of us here have a high regard for his knowledge and he has more of that than many of us put together. Environmental damage as stated above. Now take a step back and find your sense of humor again.

But of course and the moderators know this also. Fat chance of getting Chris blocked.

I don't necessarily have a high regard for his knowledge—I'm not that familiar with it—and sometimes his humor is questionable (at least he tries), but I will always respect that he was a good pool shot.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised by his nasty remarks, so I decided to look back at his previous posts to see what I might have said that got him so irritated.

I found only two comments that I made, and only one was considered negative.

All I said was that his 1962 cent did not have potential.

Maybe it's a good thing that he didn't make it through EMT school.

    Nickels are 75% copper.
But that one looks more rusty/ environmentally damaged than copper color to me.
I dig those up out of the ground all the time and they spend just fine.

I don't know you @tommcorm, but Chris really isn't trying to demean you in any way, you'll just need to get used to the personalities of some of our members. Many, including myself, regularly tell jokes; some of them dry humor, and some of them are inside jokes. Please don't take them personally and you'll thoroughly enjoy this site. The knowledge here is immense and I find it a great asset to the hobby.

I tend to like dry humor—particularly over the knee-slapping and painfully obvious emoji stuff. Probably not everyone here is the same way, though. Whaddya going to do?

You guys should walk a coin show with Chris. You can't help but learn and have a great time doing it. It's guys like this that keep this hobby fun.

There's a click here. Sometimes you just have to shake it off. Sometimes the humor is for the click. Not you

OK, I'll respect your opinions. Not the one about me not finishing EMT school that was a cheap shot, painful. I saved a two year old drowning victim before I quit and I check on him on FB but he doesn't know me. I do have a sense of humor believe it or not. I don't do well, when I ask for help and I get sarcasm not from a friend but a stranger. Especially when ten other guys are falling over themselves to help. It's not my place or desire to turn this into a drama nightmare. So, I apologize to all and I'll learn from this and most likely move on. But not yet. I really like this group. I will keep my comments to myself from now on. Nobody wants this.

This was the first cheap shot. You got what you ask for.
