1936 dot cent?

  3. I do blame you for trying. You must have a cure for blindness because I do not see a dot under the date.

    Nice try, but the dot is pretty obvious. If you have to strain to see it, then you don't have it. Also notice the location compared to the spot on your coin.

    I am not an expert; but, it appears to me from your photographs that on the obverse of your coin the columns are convex and the spaces between them are convex. On the reverse of your coin the columns are concave and the pillars are convex (as they normally should be). This tends to support Mr. Broccardi's position that a the Lincoln monument side of another cent was glued to the obverse side of your coin and then when removed, left this 'inverted' (is that the word I want?) or 'reverse' impression.

    Ooops... Sorry!! I responded here to a different thread with a different coin photograph. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll see if I can remove my post here and post it where it is supposed to be.

    Nope. Edit is not allowed at this point. Will be more careful about that in the future. @MontCollector, @Garlicus

    No problem. I think i saw the thread you meant to put this in right after i posted here. Something on a 1988 LMC perhaps??
