I can only hope that he is OK and just avoiding the forum/commitment to the big winner / or loser as it is (Twiggs). The alternative is DAK has gone the way of Elvis.

Didn't someone mention during the contest that this would be the most talked about contest ever. I guess this ending is one way to secure that spot. More than a month after it is over and it is still one of the most active threads - next to the roll searchers thread -

I believe it was me. I said this would be the most talked about contest ever. I believe I was right too.

 

I will certainly tell you guys if I hear anything from him (dak) or his family. I told him in my message that the prizes weren't important. We just want to know if he was alright. Maybe given time we will hear something.

well I agree with you it was wrong and yes, I spent ALOT of hours on that contest as did others. Even if Dak had told us he sold the coins or decided he wanted to hang on to them, giving other prizes in return..that would have been better than just running out on everyone like a low life snake. We all understand how people get into the 'contest' hype and possibly offer what they later change their minds about. It's just a shame he wasn't man enough to face the music. I think he would have found us to be most forgiving and understanding.
