A 64 D and 63 D Roosie this past week, and an extra $2.50 in the quarter rolls in an extra dollar 50 in the time rolls equals three silver dimes. All in all, not too shabby. Sounds like a decent week for everybody!

First roll this morning gives us a 72 dime mixed in with the pennies. Another good clean honest 82D CLD.

Looks to me like the front has a layer of something stuck to it (as opposed to being struck through something, or ground down after being minted), and the back has a couple of patches stuck to it as well. Epoxy, maybe? I'm not sure why anybody would do that, but...

This happens to me quite often with customer rolled cents. I love it because then the roll only cost me 40 cents! Or did it cost me 41 cents because I only got 49 cent coins? (My brain hurts)

You would think that out of a $1000 bag of dimes (equiv of four boxes) that it would be substantial since bag was on the machine since mid-April. Grand total of silver was a whopping 1-ONE. That really sucks, considering that one of the other boxes that i picked up Sat morning got 2-Rosie's. Go figure. But I will continue with the bags when they fill up with hopes of snagging a collection of some sort. HH, DozerD

Bummer. But this is why I hate searching dimes. I've never seen more than 1 silver dime in a whole box and usually no silver dimes.

I don't care if a coin is silver. I just want to find something old. That's why I mostly hunt pennies.

Yep, plus dimes are hard on my eyes. That's another reason why I hunt cents exclusively. In the first of three boxes of supposedly Fed Reserve sealed boxes of cents, I have only come across four wheats, nothing doubled at all! Now, that seems very strange to me. Another 14 rolls to go in that box.

Dimes are tougher but love the Merc's especially. I still weigh rolls for grins and usually 174 g is a solid kicker for possible silver!

I usually run my magnet over the still unopened rolls of cents to see if there is any steel in there. I can usually tell, but not always.

I see a lot of nice but blistered 84-86 pennies.
And more than a lot 2007-2016 corroded and ugly pennies.

Stopped at a couple banks today. One teller said she didn't have any halves, but she had 3 silver dimes including 2 mercs!

This morning I went to two banks.
Got 9 customer wrapped and 9 machine wrapped.
First two machine wrapped had about 65-70% 2012 or newer pennies. Took a break for lunch and having some of my favorite Crunchy Cheetos. I'll get back to searching pretty soon.

Swapped out the weekends rolls at a bank in a busy part of town. Got 10 string rolls and the rest in singles to do some hunting with that as well. Aside from 4 STRING RINGED beauties (61,62,63,09) that I had to send back into the wild because someone's machines turn nice coins into crap:punch:...I digress. I did find 7 pre-64s including two 41s and a 45D! Second sign of silver the past couple days.

The paper pillaging yielded a couple 2001 and 2006 notes but no fancy numbers.
