Yes. I found my 50-D nickel in a box I bought from a small town bank in my area. The newest nickel in the box was 4 years old, so my guess was that the box had sat unused for a while. If I recall correctly, I got a number of upgrades from that box too.

Awesome! One Chase bank I kept hitting for a few weeks had rolls that had been stored for several years... I found lots of War Nickels and Buffalos, a couple of key-date Jeffersons, and a 5-roll dump of a collection which yielded almost 100 pre-60s and no coin dated later than 1970.

Ok. Got 8 rolls machine wrapped and 1 customer wrapped at one bank. 9 customer wrapped at the other.
We shall see. Of course these are all pennies. See my avatar....

    Over 3 rolls. 2 each 82D and 1 82P CLD. And 2 82P ZLD. A nice 1971S. And a 62P that I needed.
And with a metal detector a nice fellow on AAPK sent me I found this. There has not been a rose bush in that part of the yard since we've lived here.

Picked up a $1000 dime bag at one of my branch banks today. Has been on the machine since 4/12/17, so at least there is no big DUMP made into it. Will keep you posted of results. The last two bags resulted in 6, 5, Rosie's. Maybe this one will be bigger. HH

    I can't even CONCEIVE of a $1000 bag!

If the bags were smaller in $ quantity, the tellers would be changing bags too frequently. The $1K bag is only equiv to 4-boxes. Other coin bags are: cents $50, nicks $200, qtrs $1000, halves $1000., all of which are equiv to two boxes. Bags any larger would be too heavy to pick up.

Got two more 82D CLD that were too nice to throw back. And one Road Warrior and one deliberately ruined Zinc. Still going through the machine wrapped rolls first.

I wish I could play with halves.
Heck I wish I could play with quarters.
But pennies are cost effective at least.

    Finally broke the skunk spell!!

    Found 3-90s and 21-40s

I always track the Loomis Box location codes. Our area is 4397, but I got boxes tagged 6023, 6297 and 4203. Silver came out of the 6023 box. image.jpg

I have almost two rolls of 82D CLD. Only the very best ones will be staying. The rest are going back into circulation. Last two rolls were skunks.

The "old nickels" roll was legit. All pre-60. Total haul of 17 rolls gave one 44D war Nickel, a bunch of upgrades in the newer books and 70+ pre 64s. Best batch yet! IMG_0628.JPG

In a while when I can see well I'll get back to searching penny rolls. I'm going through email communication with what MAY be gainful employment. Maybe 60% possible and 40% blowing smoke up my butt.
