I'm having trouble telling if this is a DDR or Machine Doubling. Please pay particular attention to the D and the serif of the M in DIME. This isn't my coin so I don't have better images to provide. @Rick Stachowski @furryfrog02 @paddyman98
As a follow up, there's nothing going on there, just some toning. What are your thoughts on the M in DIME (serif) and the N in ONE (left side)? The M looks like a repunch of sorts, but the N looks like MD to me.
I think it's a good one and here's some info I found . http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/pictorial/1877.htm
Very nice and helpful. From what I've seen, I'm thinking F104. Thanks for the assist and another website to bookmark!
I just had a look at the coin and it's most likely the D reverse. However I don't see the die crack through the date on the obverse. Everything else seems to match the F-104 variety.
