    Let me set this thread straight. For all the new members out there.

    For all you new members, it is quite obvious this $.10 did not come out of the mint this way. So it would not be considered a mint error. It is quite obvious
    so me personally I would go to the search box and put in say damaged Roosevelt $.10.
    And see what threads come up, that someone had already posted on this kind of damage.
    Now I think this coin has definitely been in circulation for a while, looks like to me it has been in contact with some kind of chemical. Which is started to dissolve the nickel layer. And a close-up look like someone took a Brillo pad to it because of all the scratches. I should have put this one on environmental damage. Or oddities PMDs Those are the proper thread for this coin.     I think your top photo is a very nice clear out of collar strike.
    The lower photo I can't really tell it so blurry, and I just got my new glasses.
