Anybody going to the Forest (Va) show Sat. Apr 29?

I saw that there's a show in Forest (central VA, near Lynchburg) Saturday, and that ANACS will be there. It's more than a two-hour drive for me, which would normally put it completely out of consideration -- but, oddly, it's only three or four miles from the house where I lived as a teenager. And now I have a teenager of my own who's looking to log some practice miles driving, so I wonder...

They say there will be 50 tables. Anybody been? @C-B-D, are you still in the region?

Well poop. I'm at work this weekend (Richmond). My actual house is only a bit over an hour from Lynchburg though and it might've been fun. Oh well. Is it a yearly event or more often?

Don't know, this is the first time I've heard of the event.

I was thinking of going and spending a bit of time cruising visiting old familiar places, but I'm not much in the mood this morning. That, and I don't have anything I'm eager to submit to ANACS, and I'm not especially looking to buy/sell anything at the moment.

I have to imagine, though, that there would be more and bigger shows closer to Richmond over time. Keep an eye on @coinzip's "shows this weekend - who's going?" threads -- I think that's where I found out about this one.

I'd thought about it because of ANACS. It is over a three hour drive away but my wife has friends in Roanoke and we thought of dropping her off there. But in the end we decided that after all the rain I need to spend time in the garden.

I'll be looking for a show report. If I wasn't expecting a delivery today - I'd take a drive and check it out.

Richmond is a bit far for a casual show...it's a nearly 3 hour drive which is fine for my work schedule (every other weekend and I spend the whole weekend there) but other weekends I don't need to be driving like that :). Maybe once there is a bit more extended train service to SWVA. Now, Baltimore is worth the trek :D.

I will keep my eye a bit closer on the CoinZip announcements.

I'm with you here. If I can combine it with something else it is worth it but hard to do otherwise. I went to the Salem show in February because I could drop my wife of for the day at a friend's who lives a few miles from it.
