Really? Such a rude reply to the OP and you really, really believe that statement you made? Tool Time.
And what are you? Go ahead and insult the OP for asking for coin knowledge and not accepting the answers given... but to call the OP a four year old for saying bugger off. Darn eddie. Pick a finger.
It was also immature of me to say bugger off but I just didn't like being talked rude to I accept it is not a doubled die but i think there's more going on than what I can show with my crappy camera thanks for looking out man
You're alright. Stuff like this happens all the time on forums. Once everyone attacked me for posting a silver plated coin on the bullion forum, I was 9!
And my personal opinion is machine doubling. Trust me, machine doubling is very close to doubled die. Once I thought I found a 1969-S 1C DDO, but it took 3 specialists to tell me it was machine doubled (this was before I was a specialist in errors and varieties). I suggest cherrypickers guide as well, also doubleddie.com is a good place to start. Hope this helps! -SC
I just got a 1954 dime from the store in my change I was checking it out I know nothing about dimes at all but the js is upside down is that normal
At the quantum/microscopic levels they're being looked at, these days, I'd think, for sure. I'm not saying it's die-doubling, necessarily, although I wouldn't discount some of it is. Give a newbie in search of the Holy Grail a high-powered microscope, and he or she is stumbling in here, seeing it in every coin, guaranteed.
