Dear Friends, We are happy to announce our first "Call for Papers" for KOINON: The International Journal of Classical Numsimatic Studies. Please see our website for additional information: https://koinonjournal.wordpress.com/ Nick
My tears would make the ink run and you wouldn't be able to read it It didn't even go to "family" so I can't visit him. To the lurkers: If you are the proud and lucky owner of Winged Dolphin Man please send me a PM so I can schmooze my way into a visitation (Seriously though... that might be a reasonable project for me. Not in the near future, but perhaps this summer.)
What an impressive 'Board'---With such a wonderful group I can't imagine I need to wish you well....but I'm looking forward to reading each and every article!
Very nice - was just about to post my research on Kilwa Coins, but mayhaps I will submit an article instead...
I'm going to need to revise - article being quite different from a personal post showing off my Coins. However, I'll stress there is no new scholarship here, just placing the Coins within an historical context. I'm riding on the 'call for papers' requesting articles which would be 'engaging to a fairly wide audience'
Sometimes synthesizing the available data is publication worthy, especially if you formulate good questions and identify areas for further study.
This is also a good opportunity for collectors with an unpublished variety to have it published in a formal journal.
Here is the format for submitting a new variety or type, when it is not part of a lengthier paper: https://koinonjournal.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/new-type1.pdf
