There's this raised surface base on "E PLURIBUS UNUM". I've seen it before but I came across another one. Is it a repaired die? It's as if "E PLURIBUS UNUM" was added to the die afterwards by hammering it in, and the edge of the mold got hammered in as well. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!
Always amazed at how you guys identify what a clash comes from (neckline of indian!). I have a 1864 Indian Cent with an obvious clash but have no idea what the clash is... I will try to photograph and post, maybe one of you sleuths can identify!
All you have to do is Google "[insert denomination here] clash overlay." Chances are someone will already have created one for you to evaluate.
