I was hoping I could get a little advise regarding some summer job opportunities. My roommates dad is pretty high up with one of third party graders and he offered me a job as a junior grader working with him (I have been grading coins since I was around 12 and I am pretty good). Also he has a lot of contacts and he could probably get me a job at Stacks Bowers, probably working with Q David Bowers doing some research on one of his books or doing some cataloging for him. These jobs would be good but they would be unpaid internships most likely. I could probably get a job at my LCS and make like $12,000 for just a few months work. Any advise?

Do you *need* to make money this summer or would it "just be nice"?

A local coin shop could afford to pay you $12,000 for a couple months work? Wow, they must have pretty good business there.

Would any of these look good on your resume down the road? What do you intend to do as a career?

Glad to see companies large and small reaching out to the under-bridge community.

Maybe you can research the Ellender Lincoln for Bowers.

I will only advise you to spell advice with a 'c'.

Don't bother. You would get fired the first day. The services and people like Mr. Bowers are only looking for honest people.

The experience and cache of working for QDB or a third party grader would outweigh any money I might make in just a few months work. IMHO. Unless you really "need" the money.

Yes, as imaginary jobs go, it would be pretty cool.

    actually it works both ways:

    ad·vise
ədˈvīz/counsel, give guidance, guide, offer suggestions, give hints, give tips, give pointers
"her grandmother advised her about marriage"

    ad·vice
    ədˈvīs/
    noun
    noun: advice
    1. guidance or recommendations concerning prudent future action, typically given by someone regarded as knowledgeable or authoritative.
I thought the same, and look it up.

    Surprise!

"Advise" is a verb. "Advice" is a noun. OP is a troll. An adviser (or advisor apparently) advises his students, but will they take his advice?

Tomorrows lesson will be the difference between further and farther. ;)
