Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got a job in the coin business working for a company here on the east coast. It seems like a good opportunity. I started today and will have a number of responsibilities, including buying, selling, organizing collections. I should also have the opportunity to be out on the road at some major shows at times. I am really excited about the opportunity and will be sure to keep the board updated on my progess. (To avoid improper promotion, I will not list the company here, but will do so on the Open section of the board.)
Way to go!!! Sounds like a dream job! They really need to work on their website...it doesn't "work" on a slow dial-up computer Speedy
congratulations ~ hopefully you'll get to see the really cool stuff.. and share it with your forum friends.... i'm predicting we'll really like our christmas gifts this year
Congrats - That's great that you get to work doing something you have a passion for. Hope you enjoy every opportunity you get to learn more about coins and notes!!! :thumb: Darryl
Congratulations!!! Sounds like a great job to have. Nice web site. I may have to become a regular customer.
:thumb:Good going. Carry a big magnet so you can collect all those loose coins you find around there! Bruce
And congradulations from me also. Now how about those shoes with the removable heels? So what is wrong with posting the name of the organization? I've seen many people discuss all kinds of companies, web sites, organizations here so what is wrong with you adding the name of that place you work?
See that is what happens when you get old. I didn't even know there was such a thing as an open forum. At my age it is really difficult to go looking for things. This is why us old people go to stores so often. We seldom know why we went there until we get home.
Carl the issue is that Coin Talk does not permit self-promotion. And since Robbie now works for the company, if he were to post a link to that company's web site it would be considered self-promotion and thus deleted. So Robbie did the right thing - he followed the rules. However, anybody else, you for example, could a post a link to that company all day long because you do not work for them.
