The general rule of thumb on cutting errors is, part of an adjoining note must be visible in the margin. Unfortunately your note is just poorly centered.
For cutting errors, that's true. But the $50 here appears to be not a cutting error but a misaligned printing--notice that the face is just about centered but the back is not. These are sometimes considered significant when the back printing is "outside the box" of the face printing (if you hold the note up to the light, parts of the back printing extend into the face margins). By that standard, it looks like this $50 would probably qualify. Still, as a circulated larger-denomination note, I doubt it's going to command much of a premium.
So, if the sheet is missfed for the first print, but aligned correctly for the second & third print, this is the result ? Sounds right.
Oh OK. NVM. If it was miscut, both sides would be off? So this is an off center error. Slight premium?
