Please strike a few on eagle or double eagle planchets also. A couple Peace's too if you can swing by 1921/22 on the way forward would also do it.

Jupiter88 coins don't tone like this the surface has been altered. Not trying to knock your post ,just educate you to coins that have been doctored or whizzed.

I don't think it has been whizzed, but It has been circulated. The overexposure on the pics makes it difficult to see.

Then you spot these two slabs both 1943 Lincoln's and you ask how much ? He said $3 each both for $5!
Then you notice that they both are doubled dies and you hand the guy $20 bucks for all 4 items.... and Sashay out the door..

 

Wow, that's the luck of the Irish! Since most of us here have never seen a doubled die 1943 cent, perhaps you could tell us where the doubling is and post an image. As you know, lots of these coins are strike doubled or look doubled due to worn dies.
If that's not possible, perhaps you could post the doubled die # so we can find a photo on the Internet.

 

There are 23 different DDO's for 43P.

 

yes and the MS-66 1943 I found is the 015,15-0-IV in 66 worth $150
Now to do the 65 and see what one that is....and the MS-65 is an DDO-007 which in turn is also an DDR-007 as it's a double doubled die and in MS-65 an $80 coin. so on a $5 investment I got a net worth on both specimens $225 . Best day in a long time cherry pickin $20 total investment in 4 items and a $250.00 possible return.

Thanks! Actually , Variety Vista lists over 30 Doubled Die 1943 cents. I've only heard of one and do not recall seeing one before. I'll bet you need a 16X hand lens and a BU specimen to see most of them!

The OP did not indicate which side of his "gems" are doubled and I don't see anything in the photos. That's why I requested more magnified images and the variety number. I'm trying to learn something here so I can cherrypick some too.

It's only a modern slab but I feel like it was a good snag off the bay for $38. Is it common to pick up proof slabs below half graded value? I guess due diligence would be finding that out BEFORE buying it, but at the time it felt right

 

As a variety collector you can't memorize all of the various varieties . But what you can do is know where to begin looking for various pup's. I must admit I do win and loose at times,and even missed out on a 1854 h-10 in rock variety less than a month ago at a show. Hopefully it will still be in the dealers case come the 30th.
The other thing I practice is trying not to buy detailed coins as if you aren't correct then flipping the coin becomes harder to do,and maybe a loss.
So when I do pull the trigger it's on a coin that if I am wrong it can be sold easily .
It was a no brainer on the 2 x43 P's.
As both showing signs of being a ddo and both in mint state , also their holders a now defunct TPG could or may of paid off also.
lastly for $5 how can you go wrong? As the two cents were worth over $25 each to begin with .

 

Hint on 43 P cents if there's die cracks running across Lincoln shoulder, and his eye has what looks to be extra metal,plus a sure give away the T in cents has die chips.
You found yourself a ddr or a ddo.
The two coins above had all of the above as well as other pup's .

Nothing life changing but very happy with the condition. A bit of cheek rub but the fields are in great shape. Thoughts on grade?

 

I'd say that was an awesome grab! As far as varieties of errors I'm still learning what to look for and trying to remember what the well known ones are (36,41,55 & 58 ddo).
