I do not collect error coins so I have been giving the benefit of the doubt. 4 rare error coins by one person. I am not a mathematician but I will give a comparison of what the chances of that are. Rare tim, you would have to all in the same day: Have the sole winning ticket in the powerball. Pick all the winners in the NCCA 64 basket ball tourney. Plus name the exact score in all games. Shoot an 18 round of golf and make 18 hole in one shots. Pass gas and suddenly find yourself standing on the moon. O.K. given the amount of hot air you must be fill of I will spot you the last one.
I like how you conveniently hid all helpful information on the form and purposefully laid the slab face down. Also, photoshopping your coin to produce doubling does not count as proof.
He has had enough time to find, purchase, and submit an authentic one by now. So whatever he does show us, ( if he does show us ) Will be questionable anyway, IMHO. No way that I'll believe any result.
Customers description All it proves is he filled in a submission form. I doubt he would go out and buy a mid five figure coin just so he can post it and say "I told you so" especially since the folks on here would most likely be able to track down previous appearances of the coin and show it was slabbed long ago.
My post was mostly sarcastic, but if true, he would still own an actual mid five figure coin to sell so he could pay his parents back for the loan. Unless he was able to save that much money from his paper route . I am serious that I won't believe anything he does show us unless some of the knowledgeable members here can confirm by certain identifying marks matching the original, blurry photos.
I've already pointed out previously in the thread that even with his blurry photos the mintmark position on his 69 S proves it is NOT the major 69 S DDO.
The odds that OP is doing anything other than yanking the forum's chain are slim-to-none, imo. I've just been trying to figure out if he is a unique individual, or an existing member's long-troll account... Doesn't this forum play "guess that MA'er"? ..it's always been one of my favorite internet games.
Since it has been four score, and seven years since this thread was started. Most may not remember what it was about. Stress no longer. Here it is again. Again...
Rare coins sometimes briefly re-enter circulation when kids raid daddy's coin collection for spending money. In the early '60s as a kid I found a 1932-S in circulation on the East Coast. Almost certainly repurposed by a kid - that F-VF coin didn't stay in circulation for 30 years
