Just got a cpl emails on this one... as a buyer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330147269044 as a seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190130205111 WOW
Is there a rash of people using *** in there ebay user names, or have these names been blocked somehow? Either way, it looks way fishy...
I'm no Walker expert, but shouldn't the "D" mintmark be read on the curviture like the rest of the lettering, instead of perfectly verticle? None of the walkers I have have mintmarks that are read like the one he has shown. Guy~
It's all part of EBay's latest "improvement" in concealing the names of bidders on items that go over the $200 mark. Only because it is!
I have a cpl guys that email back and forth on this stuff, one is a customer that was ripped off, I have turned him onto this blog. Check out KingO's 1921-d Walker same buy/sell. He can tone the coins, polish them ala the 1884-S buy/sell scam he got caught on, and he sold a 09-SVDB fame a cpl times, same coin. This is actually criminal I believe, can be prosecuted hopefully. This guy is stinking up the hobby for the rest of us. Direct intent to defraud. I have his phone number buy doing a contact search . We need to gather up this obvious fraud into a folder, with pictures, etc and get this ti the NY Attorney General and Ebay, not that Ebay will do anything about it. Ebay might move if they knew you were doing a story on Ebay fraud that they have known about and ignored.
I would just LOVE to see Ebay get wrapped up in something that they knew about. I think it's just a matter of time.
Geesh ! I wouldn't buy anything from the King O' Cons. I did, however, mark skylightsam as one of my favorite sellers for his honesty.
here's another offering from KingOfCounterfeits: http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-S-VDB-Repl...ryZ39456QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
He sold that as "added VDB" a cpl times !!! It's actually an added S. 2 buyers must have returned it and paid the 20% restock fee. I saw it go once for $434.
This is king_o_coins. Any coin sold that is deemed counterfeit or altered will receive a refund in full. I have already refunded most who have complained, to the point where I am nearly broke. I am NO longer selling any coins in any market, I am out of the business. Anyone wishing a refund for a coin they believe not genuine only needs to contact me. Some of the coins I was not sure if they were genuine or not. I have only been a collector since 2005. I am not perfect. I called Jack because he apparently had a list of complaints, he wouldn't talk to me though. Anyone wishing a refund, contact me, and I will try to come up with the funds. The 16-D's were refunded, although some of them appear genuine. The 21-D's were refunded, although they appear genuine to me. Some were sold as added mintmarks because I thought they were. Look, I am not a pro. Just contact me and we will settle anything. I apologize to everyone, and I am out of the hobby. I never meant to cause a stir. Thank you.
