The Op must think the folks on CT are going to try and get those coins.:shifty:
Sorry but the OP will find not many here want cleaned/polished coins.:watching:

Ignore the negative posts. We just love to pile on the uneducated new guys with our vast knowledge and superior opinions.

As was posted by the calmer ones here, just make an offer of $20 or so each and do with the set as you wish.

I'm not sure what good any opinion would be without seeing the coins in question.

Perhaps you could explain exactly how you expect him to link this...

"as I see on ,Ebay, looks like 80% of Morgans are cleaned, and asking more than $25.00"

It's a very generic (if somewhat questionable) statement which does not reference any particular link. Perhaps you could be so kind as to drop the attack the new guy crap and cut him some slack.

Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

I would avoid the set, especially not knowing that much about Morgans. Cleaned, circulated common date Morgans are worth melt. It would be impossible to put a value on a cleaned, common date set, with no key coins, totally unseen. Off the top of my head, I would guess that 2k-3k maximum would be plausible. Too many unknowns from what the OP says, so I would avoid buying it.

Typing in all caps is poor form on every site.

Here's what PCGS says about the values, by grade:

A full date/mint set will be 95-97 coins.

So, what type of cleaning are you talking about? Dipped, rubbed, or heavily polished?

120 coins? There are 97 in a basic date / mm set so missing 2 puts it at 95 making you 25 coins heavy.

In the OP he says there are "about 20 coins extra (doubles)", which explains the discrepancy.

He did mention that there were 20 extras.
