    Our, the U.S.A., 1983 Olympic coin celebrated the 1984 Olympics, right?

    Yes, they issued 15 $10 and 15 $5 during the period 1973-1976, all with the olympic logo and 1976 on them The $10 were all 1.445 oz and the $5 were 0.772 oz. They were issued in yearly sets. I have them all. It was common for countries hosting olympics to do the same to raise money to support them.

    In Regards to the Olympics

    By the time the event actually arrives, all the necessary infrastructure is built, workers mayors and governors are proud, and I think that is the case with these 2 coins. Montreal built that cool Tower, and we the had those freeways, two statues, and were prepared to be proud of that.

    Yeah that was the EEC before it morphed into a 28 member EU dictatorship, soon to be 27 and falling :cool:
