Seller's pics - I've been looking for an example of this type for some time, and the added error made this a no brainer for me. Partial brockage on the obverse at K5.

That's really a wonderfully preserved token! I'm not usually one for errors, but that is way cool.

Here's a couple from Goodfellow Air Force Base:

Goodfellow AFB was established as a build up to the U.S. involvement in WWII and was to serve as a pilot training base. Construction began in 1940 and in 1941 it was renamed for Lt. John J. Goodfellow Jr. He was lost in WWI when flying in France in in an observation aircraft. The base went on to continue training piliots until 1958 when cryptological training began. In 1966 the base began to train all branches cryptologists and in 1975 the runway was closed. When Chanute AFB was closed in 1993, it's firefighter training program was moved to Goodfellow. The base is still in operation today with the mission to "Train, Develop, and Inspire Exceptional Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Fire Protection Professionals for America and Her Allies."

Sadly I don't. Just two nights ago I saw a special on TV called War Stories with Oliver North. It was filmed in 2003 I think and they were interviewing Doolittle's Raiders. Some of them were POWs in Japanese camps. Tough stuff.

I'm going to toss these images into the forum. Later when I take better pictures I'll post them again with a write up.
I've really fleshed out my Kelly AFB token collection! I have another set, but I don't have pictures.

Looks like some kind of death medal? I can't quite make it out but it looks like a face, name and dates, and the general aura of mourning. Looks like there are some pretty cool details, like the line of horsemen along the bottom. Looks nice! And, my style of exonumia :D. That's the best part of exonumia, there's a style and a something for everyone.

Any chance you can break out a glass and see if there is an artist name somewhere, and see if there are any edge markings.

It's used for a game called Geocaching. People hide these things (I think) in different locations and you have to find it. These are for mountain areas or mines.

Not sure about value. The writing looks like elder futhark runes, a system of magical communication used by the Germanic barbarians in ancient times.

Thanks for the info. I thought that they had some sort of tracking element involved, just didn't know what.

I don't know about the geocaching really. I only was familar with the term and activity and Googled it and that's what I got. I didn't know there were tokens involved. Could be a fun hobby I guess.
