I saw this Ebay-Item and I think this borders on fraud. I know that the guy covered himself by saying "A collector looked at this coin and was not sure whether or not the 3 leg was genuine, consider that when bidding. It does look like a good coin." And I really think it's sleazy how he puts $2,000 on the 2x2 slab. I know that he covered his ass to a degree, but it is still an attempt at fraud. He also only put it up there for 24 hours so it looks like a hit and run to me.

I just wonder if some fool will part with a large part of his cash.

It's nice he gave such nice, clear, close-up photos so we can judge for ourselves.;)

Those are his standard type of pictures, which is one reason I would never bid on one of his auctions.

Anyhow, with $4.99 S/H, my personal maximum price for black cabinet items only leaves room for a 1¢ bid.

I emailed the seller requesting better pictures. I'm curious what sort of response I will receive.

It actually went for $380. I think this guy knows he can keep selling these and make a buck or two. My problem is that it puts counterfeits in circulation. The pro's will spot them but those who get burned will look on the industry as corupt or they will just quit altogether. Overall, it's not good for coin collectors in the long run.

What is scarry is those may be the best photos he has ever taken. I think his photos are worth more than his coins as an oddity.

i emailed seller and requested that he have his ebay name changed to King-O-Cons hahaha

Also reported him to ebay for his multiple B.S. listings.

What I don't get is, he has ALL the giveaways of the coins being fake (bad pics, "Absolutely NO refunds") and his little way of trying to cover his a**. "This coin may not be authentic", yet he still goes out of his way to make it seem like the coin is indeed authentic.

People like this will ruin the hobby as the years go on.

Just got reply from king-o-coins. In his reply he said that he in no way tries to make it out like this is a true 3 leg buffalo. Says that he is very clear in his description that the item is a fake.

Read for yourself and see what you think.

Er, big dfifference from claiming the coin might not be real and outright stating that is not. Hardly "very clear."
